Now
we don't want to put any pressure on our friends in Holland, but
half the Napoleonic world has been begging The Napoleonic Guide
for more information on Hille, Barry and Jordy's Waterloo diorama
project.
Fortunately
we managed to get a despatch rider through the lines and he has
reported back the following details.
According
to Hille, the project is still going strong (sigh of relief around
the world) and the completion date is now March. It has been delayed
again, but our reporter says that's because the guys are having
fun - too much probably - working on it.
The
guys have just completed "a nice piece of La Belle Alliance,"
according to Hille.
"Wait
till you see the Scottish Guards Jordy was working on. These blokes
are really holding on, some taking cover from some incoming French
rounds behind a dead cow.
"We
have increased our number of French line infantry (Les Bleus).
To give our project a little Dutch accent, Barry and I finally
finished our boxes of Dutch lancers.
"We
required the right regimental flags and colours from one of your
internetlinks (hooray for us - ED). Thanks for that help. In fact,
your website gave us all the info we wanted."
Now
in the weeks ahead Hille and his lads are going to be working
on Blucher's army, some (three boxes) French cuirassiers, British
artillery, another
British light cavalry, six pieces of French artillery, Wellington's
staff, the Young Guard, a set of cattle and lifestock, as well
as scenery and buildings.
Just
a reminder to those who are new to this venture. Hille, Barry
and Jordy are building a diorama
of the battle of Waterloo that is 3.5 metres by 2.5 metres and
is likely to have 1200 1/72 scale figures complete with buildings
and terrain.

got more pictures to show you so click
